Born in 1988 on the island of Réunion, where he grew up, waroox discovered art through graffiti,…
which he began practicing in the early 2000s in the streets of Réunion. He later left his native island to attend a design and graphic arts school in Australia, where he quickly built connections within the painting community and developed his artistic identity through an Anglo-Saxon lens, influenced by urban and alternative cultures.
After completing his studies, Waroox settled in Paris, where he exhibited in renowned venues such as the Halle Saint-Pierre Museum in Montmartre, Slow Galerie, and Galerie Imagine in Bordeaux. He also took part in numerous artistic battles and collaborative charity exhibitions, notably with La Fab (also known as the Fondation agnès b.) and the Yann Arthus-Bertrand Foundation, contributing in his own way to shaping a better future. These projects reflect his strong commitment to socially and environmentally engaged initiatives aimed at bringing people together through a spirit of solidarity.
This succession of experiences led him to Dubai, where he first showcased his work internationally through the Street Art Gallery. He subsequently had the honor of participating in artist residencies across Europe, from Florence to Portugal and Cape Verde. In his artistic practice, Waroox explores a wide range of formats, including paintings, murals, cast sculptures, workshops, live performances, and charity auctions.
More recently, he relocated his studio to the French Basque Country in southwestern France, where he draws inspiration from his new surroundings to create works and fulfill public, private, and individual commissions.
