Sebas Velasco (1988) has been drawing since childhood, but it wasn’t until 2004 that he started painting graffiti on the walls of his hometown.
A bit later, he moved to Bilbao where he earned his degree in Fine Arts and specialized in painting. Sebastian prefers to interpret in a naturalistic style. His « canvases » are primarily walls and tables. The materials he uses include oil, acrylic, spray paint, and pencils.
After completing his studies in illustration in Barcelona, the « Antonio Gala Foundation » invited him to participate in a subsidized artistic residency where he is finalizing his project « Dans le Mur » (In the Wall). Among these scholarships is the Paular landscape, organized by the Royal Academy of San Quirce Palacio Quintanar (Segovia). This work has been exhibited individually and collectively in various cities in northern Spain and has received several awards, including the first prize in the second edition of the international sports competition organized by the Catalan Association of Sports Federations.
Throughout these years, Sebas has remained very active in street art. He paints walls in Spanish and European cities. It’s in the streets where he finds his inspiration, which he later brings to his studio. Thanks to « Public Provocations, » he began to connect with other graffiti artists and subsequently changed his attitude toward other concepts like street culture and its architecture in nightlife.
