Jay Kaes (1985) is a Spanish artist based in London whose murals and paintings have been exhibited in over 20 countries.
He holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country and is recognized for developing the Glitch Pop style, blending photorealism, comic art, and digital influences.
His work explores the idea of reality as an illusion, intentionally incorporating errors, distortions, and imperfections to challenge conventional beauty standards and celebrate diversity. He promotes an inclusive vision of art that embraces difference and individuality.
Kaes has created pieces for public institutions such as The West Link in Gothenburg and Glasgow City Council, as well as for private companies like Netflix, American Express, and Havana Club. He has taken part in major festivals (Wynwood Mural Festival, Yardworks, Artwalk), performed live at London Fashion Week, and transformed a Porsche 911 into an art car.
Featured by media outlets including the BBC, The Independent, and Sky News, his work has been shown in galleries across Switzerland, Spain, France, and Taiwan. His pieces are held in both private and institutional collections, including the Fundación Banco Santander.
