Dran was born in 1980 in Toulouse. His love for art began when he was very young, and he decided to enroll in the Fine Arts school.
However, not being able to identify with the spirit of this school and constantly feeling out of place, this free-spirited artist eventually fled and found his fulfillment in street art, with the DMV crew.
His artistic universe is a blend of sweetness and provocation, violence and humor. His characters confront the harshness and absurdity of the world around them. Dran’s eye examines and analyzes contemporary society through a critical lens.
Recurring themes such as the environment, consumption, politics, or religion are dissected in his creations. He uses various techniques and mediums, including illustrations, drawings, stencils, lithographs, paintings, screenprints, and photographs. His works are famous for being applied to cardboard found in commerce.
