His gallery career started in 1981 at the Real Art Ways Gallery and Fashion Moda in 1982. His artworks can be found in some of the most prestigious art collections, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Groninger Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum in the Netherlands.
« When I was a child, the only thing that really interested me was trains. Their movements, sounds, and smells occupied my thoughts from early morning until nightfall. I used to take the subway by myself to visit my mother who worked at Grand Central station on 42nd Street. I first understood what these inscriptions were about in 1971 when I was 10 years old. These paintings piqued my curiosity; their colors attracted me, and I wondered most of all how they had made it here. In 1975, at the age of 14, I began painting on trains, only to stop seven years later to fully dedicate myself to canvas work. »
